CURRENT WEIGHT: N/A
Dedication. That is really what it’s all about. Dedication to do what you said you would do. Dedication to your dreams. Dedication to making the right decision. Dedication to making the hard choices. Dedication. Thats what I lack. Thats what has kept me out of shape all of these years, and thats what will keep me overweight forever unless I find it. Dedication. Thats what I want to be, I want to be fully involved, fully dedicated. All in. Anything less, produces results that fall short of my ambition. Short of what I really want out of this thing. Nothing but total dedication will ever result in me getting to where I want to be.
Guys, Chili’s has great food, and I love eating there. I love the lighter choices, and I love knowing that when I work hard, I can eat at Chili’s every day, still lose weight, and save time doing it. But this journey is not about Chili’s, its about me. Its about me making the decision to go public, to let it all out, to post it all bare for you to see. To relate to, to contribute to, to share with. I do not know where you are at with the struggles you have in your life: but this is mine. This is my big one. This is the one that has plagued me for nearly 20 years. And I cant be more serious when I say I am done. I am done being undedicated, done being a lackluster commiter, and done settling for less. Done being fat, done being out of shape, and done being unhappy with the way I look. I know the way, I got the recipe. I have the tools… and I have the time. The time is now.
Its day 127. 238 days to go. Can I lose the remaining 80lbs or so in 238 days? Signs point to yes. Maybe I can go further…
Today I woke up determined… on fire. I started the morning off with a tall glass of pure OJ, all of my supplements and multi-vitamins, and some whole almonds. Around lunch time I headed over to Chili’s Bar and Grill in Rockwall Texas for lunch. I ordered the Lighter Choices Grilled 6oz Sirloin. This whole plate is amazingly under 300 calories.
After lunch I headed to DKC to do some work, and after I got home my wife and I went to 24 Hour fitness for a nice workout! I ran 4 miles, and burned around 420 calories. Did 100 crunches and called it a day… but plan to do much more next time. I was at the gym for approx 1 hour.
Back at home Ashley and I had prepared our own dinner from scratch. We took a whole chicken, gutted it (gross) and skinned it. We put it in a casserole dish over squash and onions and baked it with a honey mustard glaze at 350 for 1 hour. The results didnt look too photogenic, but were very good. It was a small meal (we split 1 half) and was basically 6oz of chicken breast and baked veggies. Very light, very clean tasting.
My wife went on a walk with the dog as I got in here to the office and went to work. I blinked, looked up, and now its 1am on Thursday.
I am going to go to bed now but it was extremely important to me that I wrote to you all, let you know where I was at, and what I was going. Dedication. Thats my commitment. You can expect daily blog posts again with pics and occasional video. Thanks for the support.
